A roller coaster but we’re thankful!
December 27, 2020
The first lockdown gave us the time to adapt and continue showcasing and supporting small NZ businesses through our online store. So wonderful to be able to keep the engagement with you all through this and give us something to focus on.
Our pop up store opened for 6 weeks after lockdown and was well needed to connect face to face and share so many beautiful brands and products with you. So grateful to @orakeibayvillage for the opportunity.
Sarah came onboard after the first lockdown and Jo left us to study nursing. A change in focus due to the effects the airline industry had on both of their families meant Jo was able to fulfil her passion of nursing and Sarah with her event experience took over the reins. It’s been amazing having Sarah onboard after working together 12 years ago in London.
In June and July we were thankful to be able to hold both our mid winter events with @glasshouse.nz and @ponsonby_central. A welcome relief for all and so wonderful seeing the support for small business sky rocket!
By the time December came round, after several postponed and cancelled markets, we delivered six markets and built new relationships with @skycityakl and @edenparknz . Going out with a bang at the Eden Park Christmas Market and having the one-in-20 year opportunity to take over centre field for the day was amazing and has us pumped for the year ahead!
We are very excited to be launching 2021 with a new event for GC and thrilled to be working with Panuku Development Auckland for The Cloud Anniversary Weekend Markets on Sunday 31 January and 1 February. After the summer break it will the perfect time to get back into it and enjoy a beautiful local market on the Auckland waterfront.
For now we’re looking forward to a few weeks of sun, swimming at the beach, fun on the farm and fishing! Wishing you a lovely summer however you’re spending it 🌺
Thank you, can’t wait to see you in 2021!
Much love, Rose
