General Collective’s creative community are preparing to spread Christmas cheer across Auckland this December with three Christmas markets where they will showcase a carefully curated boutique offering of gift ideas by local brands.
“We are thrilled to be back to offer Aucklanders a unique Christmas shopping experience and the opportunity to connect with friends as they emerge from our longest lockdown yet,” says Rose Barbarich, Founder of General Collective.
“One of the most positive things to come out of lockdown is the shift towards shopping local and it is something we feel really passionate about at General Collective. Choosing to buy from New Zealand businesses this Christmas will make a huge difference to people who have done it particularly tough this year.”
General Collective will kick off their festive markets at Ponsonby Central with two Christmas Twilight Markets to coincide with late night shopping on Ponsonby Road. Head upstairs to the Sapphire Room from 4pm-8pm on Thursday 9 and 16 December – it’s the perfect opportunity to meet up with friends for a drink or bite to eat in one of the many bars and restaurants who will also be opening their doors to customers.
On Sunday 12 December the Glasshouse Christmas Market will take over the Morningside Precinct. The Glasshouse has become a favourite boutique market space and if being amongst the leafy trees and sparkly fairy lights as you pick out one of a kind gifts for loved ones doesn’t get you in the Christmas spirit nothing will!
With ‘the best of the best’ across homewares, fashion, toys, jewellery, artisan produce and much more, enjoy a boutique shopping experience, discover one-of-a-kind gifts and help spread the Christmas spirit by shopping local.
Government guidelines under the traffic light system will be followed and valid vaccination passports will be required upon entry. Masks are recommended. Capacity limits may apply and the General Collective team will manage this on the day for a safe and enjoyable shopping experience.
Come and see the difference!
