With Mother’s Day just around the corner, join General Collective at ASB Showgrounds, Auckland on Sunday 2 May for the first big Lifestyle & Design Market of the year. With hundreds of stalls showcasing a thoughtfully curated selection of homewares, fashion, art, gifts and more, Auckland’s premier market continues to shine a light on talented Kiwi creatives and celebrate new emerging brands.
“We carefully select our vendors on their passion, how their brand fits with our audience and how they feel they can make a difference to the General Collective customer experience,” says Rose Barbarich, Director at General Collective. “Keeping to these high standards means our customers can rely on an exceptional market experience – one that is always fresh and interesting and is unlike anywhere else.”
New to the lineup is Auckland Ceramicist Jinho Jeong of Jino Ceramic Studio whose functional and beautiful pieces are influenced by his journey through South Korea and China. Along with, Fresh Retro Love who have started to make their mark with their range of Kiwi wool blankets from yesteryear, loving restored to their former glory.
After a successful debut at the recent General Collective Botanical Market, Florence & Grace have conjured up more stunning dried flower arrangements in multiple sizes and colours, to suit any spot in your home. Or, if you prefer to grow your own, Wild Little Bunch have an exciting range of ‘seed bombs’ – the perfect gift for mum and the bees!
Along with free kids’ activity stations and entertainment, little ones will be besotted with long time General Collective favourite ZippityDooDah and their intricate handmade animals and whimsical dolls clothing. And, be sure to stop by ittykins and explore their gorgeous mini suitcase dolls houses that can be packed away and taken with you on any adventure.
As always, there will be an abundance of food and drink from some of Auckland’s best street food vendors including Egg And Spoon – tuck into one of their deluxe Sweet Scrams, a divine breakfast brioche with scrambled egg, sriracha mayo, cheese and other goodies. And for food you can take home, pick up a pack of free range egg dried pasta crafted in Tauranga from Real Pasta – their exotic chocolate fettucine is a must try.
