The King’s Birthday Market & Whānau Festival is happening this King’s Birthday weekend, featuring a curated market with General Collective, street food, and two-days of DJs and family-friendly festivities.
Alongside the market line-up featuring some of New Zealand’s most exciting creatives and designers there’s a host of FREE activities to enjoy, including a pop-up playground made entirely of recycled materials with Junky Monkeys, clay heart making and face painting with Rainbow Rascals, upcycled sewing workshops with Sew Love, a picnic play zone, and circus workshops with funsters 3 Ring Riot.
Whānau fun will be accompanied by DJs Dylan C, Huia, Stinky Jim and Sandy Mill who will be keeping the good times rolling on the wheels of steel.
Junky Monkeys will set up their pop-up adventure playground made entirely of recycled materials, 3 Ring Riot will perform high-flying circus feats and then share some tricks of the trade, and Captain Festus McBoyle will present his travelling variety show.
The King’s Birthday Market & Whānau Festival is made possible with the support of Eke Panuku Development Auckland.
